In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 30.
In foreground is a flat area of street; in middle distance a street leads off into the distance with leafless trees on each side of the street and cars parked diagonally on the left side; across from the right side of the street stands a "76" gas station indicated by a sign; lines cross the photo horizontally with an "X" sign hung from two directions parallel to one another; in extreme left of photo see the end /front of a car; on left side sits a 3 story structure on a lot behind the left side of the street.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
