3 images. Motorcycle officer captures bandit, 21 February 1958. Sam G. Vigil (suspect)
Officer Bland Watkins (Long Beach motorcycle officer shot suspect's pistol out of his hand).
Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Emery. Date: 1958-02-21. Reporter: Phister to RW. Assignment: Motorcop captures bandit. 55/66/30/31/54/58/59: at LBPD suspect Sam G. Vigil, 8457 1/2 Central Ave., LA (left) swaps stares with captor LB city motorcop Bland Watkins, who holds suspect's pistol which was knocked down by Watkin's [sic] bullet. Vigil alone handcuffed seated in dets. [sic] bureau".
