Description
Description from back of photo reads: "Here is a portable well pulling unit and telescoping mast which is used when producing wells are in need of repair. The stands of the pipe in the foreground are called tubing and it is through this tubing that oil from the underground formations travels on its way to the surface. When the repair job has been finished, the tubing and sucker rods (which are barely visible at the bottom left of the tubing) will be reinstalled in the well, the pumping unit started up again, and the well pulling crew will move the servicing equipment to some other location which requires attention."
