Description
"What isnow Highway 50 in Shingle Springs, El Dorado County, looked like this in 1870, when Shingle Springs was the end of the railroad and a headquarters for freighting across the mountains to Nevada. The stone building right of center still stands. The picture is from the collection of Cyril Heusner of Shingle Springs and was brought to light in planning for the Shingle Springs Homecoming July 16th and 17th."
