Photograph caption dated March 22, 1955 reads, "The 36th anniversary of the American Legion celebrated by San Fernando Post 176 brought out 21 past commanders to help in the festivities last night when a cake was cut and old memories recalled of service in three wars. From left, the past commanders are, Charles McCormick, S. G. Chamberlin, Willis Rowe, Carl Tvedt, Norman Heap, Paul Macey, Art Paradis, Norman Klens, Dan Diaz, William Hill, Bob Boyce, present commander; Claud Ward, Loren Kirby, Harry Lamport, T. P. Reynolds, Fred Reed, Frank Turner, Rufus Dunham, Dave Calderon, Harry Potter, Wayne Jones and Dick Lostetter."
