Description
Image was used in a Sunnyvale Scribe article on the house, dated March 11, 1971. Constructed by James H. Henry in 1889-1890, this Victorian house was located on the corner of The Alameda and University. It was purchased in 1958-1959 by former San Jose mayor Joseph Pace, who in 1971 offered it to the City of San Jose for their new historic museum at Kelley Park. The house was deemed too expensive to move, and was later demolished. At the time of the photo, the house was occupied by artists' studios.
