Description
Photograph of three barefooted women (one with a small child) and one man posing in front of a thornbush. The women are wearing cloths or hides wrapped around their bodies. The man is wearing a two-part apron made of hide. He is leaning on a stick. ("This picture shows a group (heathens) wandering through the African thornbush. The sun is burning hot, you could say: mercylessly down on man, animal and nature. Then the walk between the thornbushes becomes torture. Soon the feet are burning in the shoes and you yearn for shadow. Here the sun very often is the greatest enemy of men and the whole environment. - the heathen women are carrying their small children on the back. The children are then in a baby sling made of hide. As soon as the child cries, the mother feeds the child by pulling it in front of her breast.")
