Photograph caption date stamped November 1, 1961 reads, "Captain Bob Parks of the Valley College Monarchs will miss Friday night's football contest at Harbor College because of a hip injury received last week in the El Camino game. Parks, who scored the team's only touchdown this fall, will be ready for the homecoming game Nov. 11 against East Los Angeles City College."
