Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 20, 1953 reads "Suspect in custody. At the scene, officers capture the prowler in alley and while one stands guard, his partner searches the suspect for weapons. While being searched, the suspect is made to lean at uncomfortable angle against building to prevent any sudden attempts at resistance or escape." Valley Police headquarters was located at 6240 Tyrone Avenue, Van Nuys.
