Photograph caption dated March 13, 1963 reads "Los Angeles Police Officer E. R. Williams of the North Hollywood Division offers a salute in tribute to Det. Ian James Campbell of Chatsworth. Flags on police buildings flew at half-mast today in memory of the slain officer."
