Photograph caption dated February 17, 1962 reads, "'Trippensco planetarium' captures interest of Heather Reid, 17, Taft High School student who will attend first international Women's Space Symposium Thursday at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Mayor Samuel W. Yorty has proclaimed Feb. 19 to 24 as 'Women In Space Week' in which girl science students, educators and space leaders will participate."
