Description
Photograph of soil permeability experiment, June 4, 1934. A man to the left of center squats down while holding a clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other. To the right of center, a second man bends over with a bucket in his arms while he seems to pour some sort of liquid into a cylindrical object that is supported by a tripod from above. A ring sits below the tripod while a long spout extends out from the base and flows into another cylindrical object that is implanted into a hole in the ground. A tarp-like fence stands behind the men while a grassy field is visible in the background.
