Photograph of a panoramic view of Avalon Harbor from the north, showing few boats in harbor, Santa Catalina Island, ca.1910. A steamer is docked at the pier. Seven other large ships are in the harbor as well as numerous small vessels behind the pier. Most of the ships shown are sailing ships. A large plume of smoke extends from the smokestack of the ship to the far left. The town of Avalon is nestled in the hilly inlet at right. In the extreme background, a large mountain range can be seen extending to the far right.
