Description
"Frau beim Bohnenschnitzeln. (Musangano)" ("A woman slicing beans. (Musangano)") A woman sitting on a bench is cutting beans. In front of her: a flat basket and a small bowl full of beans. Two small children are next to her. In the background: a hut.
Ernst Hermann Schnabel (1904-1953) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa until the end of the 1930s. In 1934, he married Käthe Prellwitz in Kyimbila.
