Description
A portion of the Mill Valley railroad depot at Miller and Throckmorton Avenues. A man sits on a cart in front of the building on the left. Bernard Street runs up through the center of the photograph. In the distance is Mount Tamalpais, covered with snow. The home at top left with the distinctive porch is Vineyard Haven (also known as the Ferryboat House) at 15 Tamalpais Avenue. It was owned and built by Alonzo Coffin, a prominent Mill Valley resident and the owner of California Pattern Works, a San Francisco firm involved in home construction design.
