Caption from December 30, 1982 Sacramento Bee reads "As the probe continued, most of the debris form the ill-fated B-52, including the engines, had been collected in a Mather hangar." T/Sgt. Nathaniel Tall, USAF, stands beside two engines from B52 that crashed on take-off from Mather AFB. These engines and six others are in hanger area at the base, AF crash specialists are inspecting them to determine malfunctions or other failures."
