Description
Photograph of Long Beach looking northwest to the San Pedro Hills, Los Angeles, ca.1905. People sun themselves on the beach to the left, although some of them remain fully clothed. To the right, vendor stands and other commercial huts stand, crowded by customers. The main building in the centerground displays signs which read "Palace Lunch-Room / Fish Dinner [...]", "Lemonade 5¢", and "Popcorn Peanuts Crackerjack". A man tends a cart a little further in the distance which reads "Cream / Bread". The silhouette of the hills runs evenly across the horizon.
