Photo--Black and white: Richard Williamson (b. 22 Mar 1822 West Cowes, Isle of Wight, Great Britain; d. 2 Jan 1900 Freestone, Sonoma Co., CA) Educated at Oxford, he became a Methodist preacher on the California Coast. His second appointment as a circuit rider was the Green Valley, Santa Rosa and Russian River area. He married Nancy Blaisdell Graves in 1855. Their creekside ranch at the foot of O'Farrell Hill was designated as the site of church camp meetings. They raised nine children: George Wesley, Elizabeth, Emilie Lavina, Kate Laura, Frederick Franklin, Eva Angeline, Lydia Pearl, Phillip, Eunice. Their son Frederick married Matilda Thomas of Green Valley. Nancy Graves was the youngest survivor in the ill fated Donner Party.
