Description
"Babe" Didrikson, that "one-girl track team from Texas," today holds two Olympic championships and two world's records in two starts. Photo shows her winning the women's 80 meters hurdle race by inches in a close finish of six girls. Miss Hall, her teammate, is second and Miss Clark of South Africa, former record holder, is third. Three girls are pictured "fighting out" a close battle for fourth, Miss Schaller of Monrovia leading Miss Wilson of Canada and Miss Webb of Britain. Previously "the Babe" set a javelin record. Photograph dated August 8, 1932.
