Description: Dr. Alvin Marks, a psychologist in Sacramento, was a pilot and the president of a commuter airline based in Sacramento, Skymark Airlines. He made a record-breaking solo trip around the world in 1969 in his Cessna. Caption: Sacramento pilot Dr. Alvin Marks embraces his wife, Phoebe, after arriving at the Sacramento Airport. (This 1967 attempt was not successful.)
