Entrance of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium as stars arrive for the 40th Annual Academy Awards on April 10, 1968, of which Bob Hope was the host. Crowds, seated in bleachers on the left, anxiously await the arrival of the famous and glamorous. An ABC television camera is visible on the left. The auditorium, located at 1855 Main Street, was designed by Welton Becket in 1958.
