Photograph of the Garvanza School in Garvanza (later Highland Park), Los Angeles, 1910. The two-story wooden structure has a square tower which rises to a point directly over the main entry on the corner. A small group of about 15 children stand on the steps below. Part of the building is obscured by tall trees along the dirt street in the foreground. A man an boy stand on the dirt embankment which serves as a curb. Thick bushes also run along the side of the school.
