Photograph of a race between hot-air balloons and horse-drawn chariots (possibly at the Tournament of Roses Parade), ca.1917. Two balloons are shown: one lower and closer to the left, the other farther back and higher to the right. Below them, two chariots can be seen racing on a track. One is prominently visible in the right hand corner, while the other is in the left distance. An automobile is visible on the other side of the track's fence to the right, while a small rancher-style building is visible in the left distance.
