Description
A woman in a brown dress cries as she walks during a funeral procession held in honor of a group of young men killed by Contras. She is being escorted and consoled by a young woman in military uniform. Behind them, a large crowd participates in the procession, some of which are holding colorful wreaths, the blue-and-white flag of Nicaragua and the black-and-red flag of the Sandinista National Liberation Front. Amongst the crowd, there are small groups of people carrying the coffins of the dead, which are draped with the flags mentioned above. On the right of the image stand three young men and women wearing white shirts and blue denim. To the left and in the center of the image, several men stand near the crowd in military uniforms. Una señora en vestido café llora mientras camina durante una procesión funeraria organizada en honor a un grupo de muchachos asesinados por contras. Ella es escoltada por una mujer soldado en uniforme militar. Detrás de ellas se observa una gran multitud, la cual participa en la procesión. Muchos en la multitud cargan coronas de flores de diversos colores y la bandera albiazul de Nicaragua y la bandera rojinegra del Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional. Entre la multitud hay varios grupos de personas que caminan mientras sostienen los ataúdes de los muertos, los cuales yacen cubiertos con las banderas ya mencionadas. A la derecha de la imagen se observa un grupo de jóvenes vestidos de camisa blanca y mezclilla azul. En la izquierda y en el centro se observan varios hombres de pie cerca de la multitud en uniforme militar.
