Description
A cabinet studio colored portrait of two men in dresses, Mitchell, Los Angeles, circa 1900s. The image shows the two, dressed in knee-length dresses, rolled-down hose, black heeled shoes and with a bow in the hair of the man on the left and a hat on the one on the right, holding hands up as if dancing. In pen on the reverse is "To Daddy, / His first wife / Los Angeles / Calif." It may be that the two were stage performers in costume. With warping of the mount, stains and soiling on the matte and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
