Description: Crowds line the runway on the opening day of the Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale, watching the two planes that are parked on the runway. The nearer plane is an old biplane with the seat mounted in front of the engine. The plane in the background is a much larger passenger plane with "Maddux Airlines" painted on the side.
