Description
Photograph of the cable line built on elevated tracks on San Fernando Street over Southern Pacific Railroad tracks, ca.1899. The steelwork of the elevated bridge runs in from the left and into the background, along the main street, which appears to be unpaved. A loading house and crates are visible underneath to the left, as well as two pedestrians walking side by side. Telephone poles line the other side of the street. Photoprint reads: "Viadust(?). Abandoned 1904".
