Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph article dated December 24, 1963 reads, "At their Christmas party the children of Woodland Hills Junior Women's Club members experienced the spirit of giving. Instead of receiving gifts themselves, the youngsters gave Santa Claus items to be distributed at a state mental hospital. Activities included the singing of Christmas carols and the telling of stories at the event, which was held at the Shadow Ranch Park clubhouse in Canoga Park. A highlight was the breaking of the pinata filled with candy. The children took turns attacking the pinata with a baseball bat. Mrs. Floyd Bennett planned the event and Mrs. Brian Herdeg is club president." Photograph caption reads, "The children experience holiday spirit of giving as they present gifts for Santa to take to patients at a state mental hospital."
