Photograph caption dated April 25, 1964 reads "First recipient of the Pearl Stowers Memorial Award is Gary Norman Paul, 20 of Sherman Oaks. Mrs. Ray Barnett, Van Nuys, an active member of Valley Research Committee, presented him with the memorial, two volumes, entitled 'The Christian History of the Constitution' and 'Self Government with Union.'"
