Description: An ornate, two-story brick building topped with three onion domes in Pasadena, California. Engraved lettering at the center ofthe building reads: "Pasadena Grand Opera House." A sign on the roof reads: "Furniture." A sign on the lower left of building reads: "Portrait Studio."
Title transcribed from front of photo-mount. Date devised by cataloger based on general history of photographer and building; the Pasadena Grand Opera House was built in 1888-1889 and the Jarvis studio operated from about 1886 until 1894. Printed to the left of title, "242." Printed under the title: "Jarvis / Pasadena, Cal." Photographer's imprint printed on back of photo-mount.
