Description
“Our tents Khandel. Dr and Mrs Whitehouse and Mr Traill itinerating.” View of two tents in wide open field. Rev. John Traill, ordained 1869, came to Jaipur with his wife in 1872. He focused on ecclesiastical organization and preaching. Dr. Whitehouse is possibly referring to John Whitehouse, who was appointed to Jodhpur, west of Jaipur, in 1892. ❧ United Free Church of Scotland photographs from the Rajputana mission.
