Photograph article dated March 28, 1950 partially reads, "Valley and FBI detectives have uncovered new evidence against two war veteran suspects in the $2000 robbery of a woman bank messenger, it was reported today. In Valley jail on suspicion of robbery are Stanley Hill, 24, a paraplegic of Birmingham Hospital, and John F. Kerns, 21, of 3915 W. Second St., Los Angeles. Det. Sgt. H. C. Clarke said large deposits of money were made at the Birmingham Hospital bank branch under the names of Hill and Kerns shortly before their arrest at the hospital yesterday. Clarke, Sgt. H. C. Weaver and an FBI agent have put a 'hold' on the money for investigation, the detective said." Photograph caption reads, "Held - Suspected by Valley police as gunman in Tarzana bank messenger holdup is John F.
