Photograph caption dated January 30, 1948 reads "On Trust, California's greatest four-year old and Willie Molter, the nation's leading trainer, make a hard combination to beat in tomorrow's running of the first $100,000 Santa Anita Maturity. Molter reports On Trust suffered no ill effects from his run-away workout this week. He is favored to win the big classic."
