Photograph was edited for publication purposes San Fernando Valley State College later became California State University, Northridge. Photograph caption dated March 7, 1963 reads, "A concert in electronic and experimental music has been planned for the opening night of Valley State College's annual Festival of the Arts at 830 p.m. March 15 in the choir room of the Music Building, 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge. Prof. Aurelio De La Vega, head of the music department, and Gerald Stang tape work of composers on new electronic music machines for the college concert."
