Photograph caption dated May 28, 1959 reads, "Two-month-old Laura Lee Carpenter, blessed event of skating champion parents, gazes in wonder as father, Lance, slips into rollers. Infant's mother, Joy, held national dance roller skating title in 1957 and state championship last year. Carpenter was men's skating champion last year. Family lives at 7024 Beckett St., Tujunga."
