Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated March 9, 1962 reads "Hostage and escape car were later found near Ventura Freeway." The article partially reads "Two black-hooded bandits escaped today from an attempted robbery at a Sherman Oaks bank with a 23-year-old girl as a hostage but no cash.
