Photograph caption dated October 5, 1957 reads, "X-ray technician punches in for work - Mrs. Juanita Friend, who has been steadily losing her sight since age of 7, punches time card at St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. Card is conveniently placed in corner away from other cards so she can find it without trouble. Her vision is limited to distance of 12 inches in one eye."
