Photograph of a view of Broadway looking north from Third Street, Los Angeles, ca.1882-1885. A trolley car and horse-drawn carriages move down the unpaved road at its far end, flanked to either side by trees. A man who appears to be carrying a parcel under his arm is walking along the sidewalk by a picket and wrought-iron fence to the left where, beyond the tree cover, the second stories of Victorian houses can be seen. The spire of the First Presbyterian Church can be seen above the trees at right.
