Description
John A. Ferguson owned 200 acres of fruit orchards located near Loomis, California, including 80 acres of land purchased in 1922 for his Holly Glen Ranch. He married Sarah Jane Law and they had one son John (Law) Ferguson. John A. was an advocate of cooperative marketing of farm products and a director of the Loomis Fruit growers Association. Joseph Tregellas married Josie Jensen in 1915. They owned a grocery store in Sacramento along with Joseph's brother Ernest that lasted in business into the late 1940's. Later Joseph worked for the East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento. The family had a home at 2700 X Street in Sacramento. Joseph and Josie had a daughter, Marjorie Tregellas, who was a school teacher. She married John Law Ferguson in 1945.
