PHOTO: ADVERTISEMENTS: SAN CARLOS PARK
Shows corner of Kearny and Market. Includes Lotta's Fountain, street cars including Geary Street streetcar, building under construction, painted on side of building is advertisement for San Carlos Park housing development. Advertisement on two sides of building, one on right includes a map showing location of San Carlos Park.
"H.S. Hoyt" - stamped on back.
Possibly commissioned by Varney & Green to document their signs. Company was owned by Jacob Charles Green and Thomas H.B. Varney between 1904 and 1908. Firm did outdoor advertising, bill posting, painted signs, street cars, railroad bulletins, fence advertising. Operated in San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, Los Angeles and various small towns in California.
