Photograph article dated March 1, 1963 partially reads, "A 60-year-old church, the oldest public building left in Chatsworth, has been declared an historical monument by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Board. The Chatsworth First Methodist Church, 10051 Topanga Canyon Blvd., is also reported to be the only church of New England styled architect left in Southern California. Site of the church was donated to the Methodists by N. A. Gray, a pioneer resident who went to Chatsworth around 1890. The building was erected in 1903 by volunteer labor directed by a qualified builder."; See image #00122780 for additional photo in this series.
