Description
Photograph of U.S. Air Force Lockheed ECW-121 Warning Star plane in flight over a city, ca.1950. At center, a large U.S. Air Force plane is visible in flight. The plane's fuselage is decorated with a small emblem in the shape of a star near the tail. The tail is wide, and three perpendicular flaps are visible on the tail. Along the plane's body, a large oval dome protrudes from the plane's center. The dome is lightly-colored with a darkly-colored panel near the front. Four small propeller engines can be seen beneath the wings of the plane. Also, two lightly-colored cylinders are seen connected to the tip of each wing. In the extreme background, residential cities lining a shore are visible.
