Description
Photograph caption dated July 17, 1964 reads, "Encino Velodrome plays host to the Southern California Olympic bicycle racing tryouts Saturday and Sunday nights, all of which will occasion action such as this which shows Jean Waschgan [sic] leading two unidentified cyclists in a Velodrome event. The two-day cycling program starts with 1000-meter time trials Saturday at 7 p.m., with the 400-meter pursuits Sunday at 4 p.m." The Encino Velodrome is located at 17301 Oxnard Street in Encino, CA.
