Description
Photograph of German conductor Klemperer, wearing suit and tie, glasses, shortly after his arrival in the United States. At that time, he was Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Gelatin silver print, monochromatic. Inscribed on the photograph: "Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Frankel in memory of the charming Thursday partys and our artistic cooperation in Los Angeles 1933-34 cordially Otto Klemperer."
