Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 27, 1965 partially reads, "In this day of abstract modern art, it is unusual to find an artist who paints something that is easily recognized by the average person. It is also unusual to find a painter who has acquired a good reputation in art circles even though his style is 'out.' But Bob Blewitt is an unusual artist: He doesn't paint to prove anything to anyone, and he is not one of the many 'arty' type artists who live, as well as paint, in a world of abstractions. Blewitt paints for himself - for his own enjoyment. But if Blewitt, a Sun Valley resident, hadn't decided to 'fool around' with painting on ceramics, he might still be an unknown artist trying to establish a reputation. Blewitt's wife, Betty, was partially responsible for his discovery of ceramic paintings, because of her interest and work with pottery and ceramics." Pictured is Betty Blewitt standing in front of her husband's ceramics. Robert Blewitt's paintings and ceramics have won more than 40 awards.
