Description
A close-up photo of the portion of the record of execution by hanging of Charles McGuire, the last prisoner at Folsom Prison to be executed by hanging which occurred on December 3, 1937. The photo focuses on the reference to the new law specifying that, effective Aug. 27th, 1937, executions were to be by means of lethal injection. For Mr. McGuire, the judgment had been affirmed on August 14, 1937.
