Called the “Sacramento Golden Empire Centennial”, this 1939 booklet commends one hundred years of Sacramento regional development from 1839-1939. It promotes the many activities and opportunities in northern California such as the State Fair and Mining Town. Activities include visiting Lake Tahoe, winter sports, as well as the fiestas and celebrations in the region. In addition, the booklet showcases the abundant natural resources such as fishing, mining, and Sacramento River. This “100 years of progress” reveals the history behind the Sacramento region, and its place in California. The front cover shows a map of northern California with Sacramento at the center surrounded by the activities of the region.
