Description
Survey of a one-story late Victorian house built in 1903. The house is historically known as the Hickcox House for Clark A. Hickcox,a local orange grower, who lived in the house with his family. The house was built by E.E. List and was one of the first tract houses in Claremont. The next owners, Ray and Barbara Fowler, were active in preservation efforts in Claremont and credited with saving 231 West 6th Street from the wrecking ball. At time of survey the house was noted as in excellent repair. A brief house description is also included with the survey form.
