Description
Drawing of the first school (and Sisters of Charity Orphanage) in Los Angeles, made in 1869 by a student, I. J. Hughes, from a picture in a school scrapbook. It was called Los Angeles Charitable Institute, later the Los Angeles Orphan Asylum, but in Spanish, Casa de las Hermanas.
