Photograph caption dated August 23, 1956 reads, "Ozone count checked - Air Pollution Control District Inspector A. R. Carbone runs HagenSmitBradley rubber cracking test to measure amount of ozone concentration used to check density of smog. Air is drawn through glass tube and blows over piece of rubber.
